They are at the beach too. Looks really strange. Atleast the men are in short sleeves. Maybe they should put their tables of literature in the zoo. In front of the bats!! (that wasn't very nice) HAHA

I was hit by a lightsaber today!!!

Hello to all,
I just had to vent what happened to me today at my local pack your own grocery bag store. I won't name it, I am sure you can guess. This particular one is old and not very clean. But, you got to do what you got to do. I was waiting my turn in front of the grapes, they were .98. Good deal. Anyway, this mother was in front of me with a crap load of kids. There were two boys who looked around 10? They had lightsabers and were jumping around like they were auditioning for Star Wars. Well, guess what? I got it right in the arm. I know, it could have been worse but dang it what is wrong with these parents? I felt like taking the lightsaber and hitting the mom with it and saying "I'm fighting the dark forces".
I'll live. I will probably laugh later. My kids were young once too and I consider myself a very patient Mom, but c'mon show some common sense people.
Is it beer thirty yet?

i was doing a little modification on a dress, and i had some straight pins holding it together.
i had to try it on of course, and when i went to take it off i forgot about the straight pins.

What Were Some Stupid Rules In Your Hall?
by minimus infamilies with younger children had to sit in the last 3 rows or they were counseled!.
disfellowshipped persons were told not to sit next to each other and talk because it "looks like they're unrepentant"..

If your baby went "poo" in their diaper you had to put the dirty mess in a platic bag and then in your diaper bag, or purse. I understand this to point. Why didn't any of the halls have trash cans outside? Never understood this. Trash service is NOT that expensive. My kids diaper ended up in our trunk of the car. Good times. Seriously, why wasn't their trash cans outside of the hall?

i can still feel the good feeling it gave me at the thought of being able to go home early.
and all through the wt, every time the door opened i remember subtlely sneaking a peak to see if it was the speaker, and when it was just a latecomer, it kept my hopes up that he wouldn't show.

I was happy when my hubby had to work late and I didn't have to go. My kids are a year apart and a few times I was stupid enough to go thinking he would show up late and be there with me. (Yeah right) Never did that again!! How about when the people went on vacation where you attended the bookstudy? They encouraged you to go to the hall or divided everyone up to other homes. It was a great excuse not to go.

What's the Watchtower's position on new members who are divorced?
by Whymse inif a new member was married and divorced for reasons other then adultery, then they got remarried.
and later on during their second marriage they became a witness, how would the watchtower think.
about their marital status?

Ohio cowboy-- I read your comments over at TMZ. You did a great job!!! I'm afraid I will write something that would identify me. There have been some really good posts showing how this religion can ruin lives. Others have been ignorant. Did you find that some of the JW's that have responded have sugar coated their beliefs? It's sickens me.
Anyway, thanks to everybody for looking at this thread. I still don't know why it bothers me so much. It hits pretty close to home, I guess.

What also bugged me was that it is really hot now in L.A., doesn't a barbeque or a nice swim in the pool sound fun? I haven't been to this meeting since they combined the bookstudy with the school. From what I hear it is quite a "shuffling a books". Paris and her brothers better invest in some backpacks.
